Aurora Dance Center – Refund Policy

 

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible while maintaining the integrity of our programs and staff commitments. Please review our refund policy below:

 

 

Registration Fees

 

 

All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. These fees secure your dancer’s spot in class and cover administrative costs.

 

 

Tuition Payments

 

 

  • Monthly tuition is non-refundable once the month begins, regardless of attendance.

  • We do not offer prorated refunds for missed classes; however, makeup classes may be available.

  • If a class is canceled by Aurora Dance Center due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, instructor illness), we will offer a makeup class or credit toward future tuition.

 

 

 

Withdrawal from Class

 

 

  • To discontinue a class, written notice must be given via email to office@auroradancecenter.com at least 7 days before the next billing cycle.

  • If notice is not received in time, you will be charged for the following month.

 

 

 

Summer Camps, Intensives, and Special Events

 

 

  • Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start of the camp/intensive/event will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance are non-refundable.

  • If Aurora Dance Center cancels a camp or special event, a full refund or credit will be issued.

 

 

 

Merchandise & Costumes

 

 

  • All merchandise and costume purchases are non-refundable.

  • In the event of a sizing or quality issue, exchanges may be made within 7 days of purchase, if unworn and in original condition.

 

 

 

Special Circumstances

 

 

Refund exceptions due to serious illness or relocation will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required.

Aurora Dance Center

Photo & Video Consent Agreement

 

By enrolling at Aurora Dance Center, I grant permission for photos and videos of my child (or myself, if 18 or older) to be taken during classes, rehearsals, and events.

 

I understand that these images may be used for promotional purposes including but not limited to:

 

  • Social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)

  • The official studio website and digital newsletters

  • Printed marketing materials (flyers, recital programs, posters, etc.)

  • Studio highlight reels, performance recordings, and advertisements

 

 

I understand that my child’s (or my) name will not be used without additional written permission.

 

This consent will remain in effect as long as my child or I am enrolled at Aurora Dance Center.

Aurora Dance Center Dress Code

To maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment, all students are expected to follow the dress code guidelines specific to each class. Proper attire promotes freedom of movement, ensures student safety, and allows instructors to observe alignment and technique effectively.

General Guidelines (All Classes)

  • Hair must be pulled back neatly away from the face (bun preferred for ballet).

  • No jewelry (small stud earrings allowed).

  • No gum chewing during class.

  • All dance shoes should be clean and designated for indoor studio use only.

  • Label all dancewear and shoes with the dancer’s name.

 Combo Classes (Tap, Ballet, Tumbling – Ages 3–6)

  • Leotard (any color), tights, and optional skirt.

  • Ballet slippers (pink leather or canvas) and tap shoes (black).

  • Hair in a bun or neat ponytail.

 Ballet

  • Leotard (solid color), pink ballet tights, and pink ballet slippers.

  • Optional chiffon skirt or wrap skirt (must be fitted and short).

  • Hair in a bun

  • No leg warmers or extra clothing unless approved by instructor.

Tap

  • Fitted top (leotard or dance tank) and leggings or dance pants.

  • Black tap shoes

  • Hair pulled back securely.

Jazz

  • Fitted top (tank, leotard, or crop top) and dance shorts or leggings.

  • Black jazz shoes 

  • Hair in a ponytail or bun.

Hip Hop

  • Comfortable athletic wear (t-shirt, tank, joggers, or leggings).

  • Clean sneakers (designated for indoor studio use only).

  • Hair pulled back off face.

Lyrical

  • Leotard or fitted top with footless tights or dance shorts.

  • Jazz shoes, turners, or bare feet as instructed.

  • Hair in a bun or low ponytail.

 Adult Classes

  • Comfortable workout or dance attire that allows freedom of movement.

  • Appropriate footwear for the style of class (jazz shoes, ballet slippers, tap shoes, or clean sneakers).

  • Hair secured away from the face.

Aurora Dance Center – Liability Waiver & Release Form​

 

 

1. 

Assumption of Risk

 

 

I understand that dance and physical activity carry some inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, sprains, and other injuries. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of injury that may occur during participation at Aurora Dance Center.

 

 

2. 

Release of Liability

 

 

I hereby release and hold harmless Aurora Dance Center, its owners, instructors, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for injuries or damages arising out of participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, or events, whether on- or off-site.

 

 

3. 

Medical Emergencies

 

 

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Aurora Dance Center staff to secure medical treatment for my child or myself if I cannot be reached. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred.

 

 

4. 

Photo & Video Release

 

 

I give permission for photos and videos of my child or myself taken during classes, events, and performances to be used for promotional purposes including but not limited to the studio’s website, social media, flyers, and other marketing materials. 

 

 

5. 

Code of Conduct

 

 

I understand that respectful behavior is expected of all students and families. Aurora Dance Center reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior disrupts the safety or positive environment of the studio.
